    Job Description
    Position:
     
    Family & Children’s Service has an opening for a Bilingual English/Spanish Healthy Families Supervisor.  Healthy Families Massachusetts is a free and voluntary support program for young, first-time moms and dads across the state.  Under the supervision of the Healthy Families Harbor Area Program Director, the Supervisor supports the creation and implementation of quality services to young pregnant and parenting women residing in the communities of Charlestown, Chelsea, East Boston, Revere and Winthrop. 
     
    Responsibilities:
     
    • Responsible for all aspects of supervision of HF Home Visitors (HVs), including providing weekly 1:1 supervision utilizing reflective supervision techniques, shadowing HVs, and evaluating performance.
    • Ensure the care and services provided by HVs meet the Healthy Families Massachusetts (HFM) standards for excellence. 
    • Conduct new participant screenings and make case assignments.
    • Monitor participants’ care plans and support HVs in implementation of care plans.
    • Assist with resource referrals, follow up, and advocacy on behalf of program participants.
    • Co-facilitate program staff meetings.
    • Co-facilitate parenting and support groups.
    • Coordinate outreach activities.
    • Attend HF meetings, trainings, and activities as requested.
    • Attend Family and Children’s Service staff meetings and activities as requested.
    • Complete other tasks to support program goals as assigned by Program Director.
    • Flexibility to meet participant and program needs.
     
    Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years’ experience supervising staff and providing services to infants, children and families; familiarity with community resources; the ability and desire to work as part of a team; possess positive leadership skills, computer literacy; experience with home visiting and working with diverse cultures.  A valid MA driver’s license and insurance is required, as is the ability to travel within the Harbor Area in personal vehicle.
